Abstract

Garbage is a universal phenomenon problem in various regions. Daily, household waste production is increasing in line with the increase in population and consumption patterns. This is not accompanied by the people's mindset and proper waste management tools, resulting in waste being thrown anywhere and environmental pollution occurring. Establishing a waste bank is an alternative to waste management in society. The waste bank is a medium used by the community to save waste and can be a source of additional income, as well as indirectly helping the community in sorting waste.

The purpose of this Waste Bank counselling is to provide economic benefits, be healthy for the community and safe for the environment, and can change people's behaviours. The service method used in carrying out these activities is lectured on the socialization of the benefits of waste banks and field visits regarding how the waste bank system was formed. This service was held in Kampung Hijau Gang Damai RT / RW: 02/013 Kelurahan Sukabakti, Kecamatan Curug, Kabupaten Tangerang- Banten. The results of community service activities include: community service activities have been carried out properly. The program that has been implemented helps residents in breaking down organic and inorganic waste. The Garbage Bank Program can establish cooperation in exchanging information and skills with other Garbage Banks so that a network of Garbage. Banks can be formed that helps and strengthens each other.
